The
government has now announced that HIPS will be required
for all properties marketed for sale in England and
Wales from the 14th December 2007. The government believe
that HIPS are of benefit to consumers and Housing Minister
Yvette Cooper has said “Hips and EPCs are already
helping consumers to save hundreds of pounds off their
fuel bills and are cutting search costs too.”
